Guangzhou Jade Markets
The most famous market is the Hualin Jade Street. The easiest way to get there is to head east along Changshou Lu from the subway station of the same name. You’ll see the jade stalls in an alley on your right just before you reach the intersection with Kangwang Zhong Lu, turn (south) down the alley that is lined with jade stalls. Of far more interest though is the sprawling, maze-like jade market that fills countless alleyways a little north of here. Bordered to the east by Wenchang Bei Lu and to the south by Changshou Xi Lu, walking through these labyrinthine lanes of jade stalls is a great experience whether you’re looking to buy or not. To get there walk east along Changshou Lu from the subway station of the same name, sticking to the left-hand side of the street. Keep your eye out for the small entranceway (Yonghua Fang). You’ll notice the jade stalls from the main street.
