Tiger Leaping Gorge Weather and When to Visit
The trek can be done at any time of year as Tiger Leaping Gorge is surprisingly temperate in winter (5-15 degrees Celsius) and never has snow. However, during the rainy season (late summer and early autumn) there is some risk that paths could be blocked due to landslides. As summer is peak season for travel to China, you will find far more people doing the trek at this time of year. This can add some worry to finding accommodation, however, there should still be plenty of beds to go around. You just might not get your first choice of accommodation. Late spring is a particularly good time to do the trek.
