The Nanjing Museum might be worth a visit if you have spare time on your hands or if you particularly enjoy museums. It has a good reputation and is very large, filled with the usual assortment of old artifacts made of jade, bronze, etc, as well as old paintings and calligraphy.

Directions: The Nanjing Museum is just inside Zhongshan Gate (eastern City Walls). Tourist Bus Y1 from the train station and the Drum Tower stops here. The closest subway station is Minggugong. From here, head directly east along Zhongshan Dong Lu until you reach the museum.
