Hanshan Temple (Cold Mountain Temple)
This isn’t one of the most impressive Buddhist temples you will see in China, but it is considered an important one due to its famous namesake, a monk and poet who served as Abbott here in the Tang Dynasty. It was further immortalized through the writing of another Tang Dynasty poet, Zhang Ji. The temple was first built from 502-519 (Liang Dynasty). Although not particularly big, Hanshan Temple is picturesque and well-kept. Worth visiting if you have spare time or a special interest.
